About Know to Prevail
A plain, sourced answer to one question: which screenings should I have at my age?
What this site is
Know to Prevail turns the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) grade A and B recommendations for adults into a personal checklist, a chart by age, and one page per screening. (USPSTF A and B list) The USPSTF is an independent, volunteer panel of national experts in disease prevention and evidence-based medicine. (About the USPSTF) We use its recommendations as the single source for "what and when".
Who writes it
Pages are written and maintained by the knowtoprevail.com editorial team. We are not doctors, and no medical professional has reviewed this site. That is why every claim links to its primary source next to it, so you can check it yourself, and why every page shows the date it was last reviewed.
Who publishes it
Know to Prevail is published by MediLeadGen, a service of Creahive Health, which is a brand of Creahive. The same publisher runs two other free health sites: Uncover My Risk, with health risk checks built on published scores, and Control A1c Levels, which converts an A1c result to average blood sugar.
What it does not do
- It does not diagnose anything or tell you when you are next due. It does not know your history or past results.
- It covers average-risk adults without symptoms. Pregnancy, children and adolescents have their own USPSTF recommendations, which we do not cover.
- It shows only grade A and B screenings. Other groups, like specialty societies, sometimes recommend more or earlier testing. Your doctor can tell you which advice fits you.
Money
The site is free and has no sign-up. It has no affiliate links and sells nothing. If advertising is ever added, it will be listed on the privacy page first, and it will never see what you type into the tools.
